11/27/2023 0 Comments Dr. quincy tv showthis was over a hundred years ago! and i don't see how people can say that the native Americans were too "in touch with nature" thats what native Americans DO! they are all about nature and peace with nature, yes there were some native Americans who were violent and angry and all that and i think they did show that, they did not make them look like they were not violent at times. medicine was advanced, but no where near as advanced as it is now with vaccines and everything, we are much more sterile and all that now, so people did get sick more often then. and i have heard people saying it was not realistic for these people to get almost deathly ill so often, but really think about it. and really i mean one doctor for a whole town of course shes gonna have to deal with lots of different problems over and over again. so really that claim that they ran out of ideas is ridiculous. then they make a little announcement at the end of the episode stating what disease it is and if it has a cure now and what year they found it and all that. there are millions of diseases in this world, and of course they did not know about lots of them in the late 1800s but there are many episodes where the end of the episode she still does not know what is wrong with the person and cannot cure them because the disease wasn't really discovered yet. for the people who said that they were running out of diseases for her to cure that is ridiculous. Quinn at all?! its so addictive its ridiculous! i didn't even start watching it until a year and a half ago because my girlfriend used to be obsessed when she was little and she made me start watching the DVDs with her, but now I'm so obsessed with it! it was an amazing show and its a shame that people are badmouthing it. How could anybody possibly say anything bad about Dr.

11/27/2023 0 Comments Best way to skim coat drywallHaving smooth walls made it much easier to apply the peel and stick wallpaper and our board and batten looks much more professional without the texture peeking through. After the 3rd coat before sanding The Million Dollar Question: Was It Worth It? Lastly, you need to prime your new skim coat! All fresh drywall should be primed because it is porous and will absorb your wall paint. Be sure to open and windows and remove the screens to get some additional airflow and a way for some of the dust to escape. I used 220 grit sandpaper on a pole sander to sand all of the walls. I had to do 3 coats on our walls before they were smooth enough for sanding. This will prevent the mud from drying out and it will help the two sections blend in better! It looks worse before it gets better!īefore you move onto the next section, use a spray bottle to spay the edge. The first coat will not look pretty and it’s slightly terrifying-you will see a major difference with the consecutive coats! After the 1st coat. This also risks the corner of the knife gouging your drywall. Make sure you don’t apply too much pressure or you will remove too much mud. I found it best to work downward from the top of the ceiling and then I would go back left to right to smooth out any imperfections. It’s really a matter of trial and error while you figure out what works best for YOU! Play around with the angle that you are holding your knife. Next, use your 12 inch drywall knife to smooth out the mud. Roll the mud onto the wall! You want to apply it heavy! It should look like this: It takes some practice, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time! I liked to work in 2 ft wide sections so the mud wouldn’t try too quickly. Roll your 3/4 nap roller directly into your 5 gallon bucket. I used the water and a rag to clean my hands/arms and to wipe off my taping knife between sections. It was so nice to have a ‘wash rub’ of sorts close by. I filled my second 5 gallon bucket with a little bit of water and let my mixer sit in the water while I was working so it wouldn’t dry out if I needed to mix the joint compound later on. I personally found it best to start slow and mix small amounts of water into the joint compound and mix with my paddle mixer drill attachment. You want it to be pancake batter consistency. Dump the joint compound into your 5 gallon bucket and thin it down with water. Now let’s get to the fun part! The Plus 3 joint compound I use comes premixed in a box. Next, use your 6 inch taping knife to knock down any peaks or high areas on your current texture. I was skim coating in a room with carpet so I laid down 3 millimeter plastic and taped it along the perimeter of the room. To get started, prep your space by covering your floors with plastic (if needed!). I did not feel like I could get a smooth finish like I could with a drywall knife. If you notice in my picture, I was originally using a Magic Trowel after seeing so many recommendations. Plastic and painters tape if you need to cover floors or doorways.Pole sander and sandpaper (I only used 220 grit).I used Plus 3 by USG Sheetrock after reading many, many tutorials. It is definitely labor intensive, but it’s doable for a DIYer! Materials NeededĮveryone has their preferred tools to skim coat, but this is what I found worked best for me. The joint compound fills in the low areas of the texture! I was so nervous to give skim coating a shot. So what is skim coating? A skim coat is when you apply diluted joint compound to the walls and smooth it out with a drywall knife. This is what our knockdown texture looks like. I figured, let’s just skim coat the entire room! And that’s what I did. In my opinion, board and batten looks much more professional with smooth board sections rather than texture. The bottom of the walls we did a double board and batten. I knew it was best to skim coat over the texture for the wallpaper section on the tops of the walls. It is recommended to install wallpaper on fairly smooth walls for better adhesion and so you don’t see the bumpy texture under the wallpaper. We just completed a fun little makeover in our oldest two boys’ room and the number one question I have received over on the gram is “Why did you skim coat the walls?” We live in Texas and we have very heavy knockdown textured walls. It is generally not recommended to call deer excessively when hunting over a feeder. Should I try calling deer when hunting over a feeder? Adding a variety of shrubs or tall annual grasses and partially felling some low-value trees can make the area more appealing to bucks. This involves locating a natural potential travel route between bedding and feeding areas or between doe bedding areas. What attracts mature bucks?Ĭreating a transition corridor can attract mature bucks. These numbers are based on careful study and advanced scouting techniques such as trail cameras. In an area managed under Quality Deer Management (QDM) practices, approximately four 2 ½ year old bucks, two 3 ½ year old bucks, and occasionally a 4 ½ or 5 ½ year old buck can be expected in every 200 acres. In areas with larger body weight deer, the food plot may support fewer deer, while in areas with smaller body weights, it may support more deer. However, the number may vary depending on factors such as the amount of forage produced per acre and the body weight of the deer. On average, an acre of food plot can support around 9 deer. How many deer will a 5-acre food plot support? This size of feeder provides a sufficient capacity to hold a significant amount of corn, ensuring a steady food supply for the deer. How many pounds of corn will a 30-gallon feeder hold?Ī 30-gallon feeder can hold up to 200 pounds of corn per fill. Patience is key when establishing a new feeding site. The time may vary depending on factors such as deer density, feeder location, pressure, and environmental conditions. It typically takes about 2-3 weeks for deer to become comfortable and start coming regularly to a new feeder. How long does it take for deer to get used to a feeder? While some feeders may not blend well with the natural surroundings, spin feeders are designed to attract deer and encourage them to come to the feeding site. In fact, they attract deer rather than scare them away. I’ve actually said to Mike many times, “I cannot believe what a good decision this was.” But why? In the long run, it will also protect your gearbox, likely saving you an expensive repair. When you regularly check and service your car’s transmission fluid, it will result in the smoother movement for your gears. These factors can translate into better fuel economy for your car. Fresh transmission fluid has better resistance to oxidation and meets the lubricating and viscosity standards more easily. They may take time as in my instance(1-1.5 yrs). So, Mobil 1 is what I am going to try 1st in my Lexus as I have always had good success with it.Īlso, I don't believe that when using the WRONG fluid in any system, that problems occure overnight. When I replaced the fluid with Honda Genuine P/S Fluid(or even BARDAHL P/S Fluid for Honda's), the steering slowly returned back to normal. The reason I brought up this issue is because, some years ago on an older Honda Accord, I used an off brand of P/S fluid in the Honda P/S system and I had the "EXACT" same experience as I am having today. I also use Mobil 1 ATF as the P/S fluid in my '04 Altima 2.5 steering system.Great stuff! I am going to Drain and Refill with Mobil 1 ATF before I delve futher into the steering system. But, when the engine is first started, the steering is "Catchy" with no steering return on it's own until it's warmed up. While we're driving, the steering become more normal but, only while driving. I have never susspected the IMV ATF as the cause of this sticky/hard/lack of steering return but, I am now thinking about it! Although it may just be the P/S Pump, IDK yet. Jump to NOV 2011 and to date, we started to have sticky/hard/lack of steering return in the power steering. Well, in the last 2 yrs, I have replaced(on our '01 RX-300), the P/S return line(July 2010) and the High Pressure P/S line(July 2011) and in both instances when replacing the P/S fluid, I have used Castrol Import Multi Vehicle ATF in the P/S system. I have always used(with great success) Mobil 1 ATF as P/S Fluid in my Toyota's! But there are enough good syn Dex III type fluids to do the job for now at least. The quals will come in time, and I suppose it is good for someone to run the experiment. We have plenty of those, some Ive started myself.īut I would not be putting Dex VI where is is not intended. This isnt a discussion about when to use an alternate for MTF. Whether that is just a certification issue, or something else, such as the use of specific elastomers, viscosity (has anyone ever done the test to see if Dex III shears the same in PSF and MT use, as examples), etc. Dex VI is NOT for use in all the applications that III was. If your tranny specs DexIII then go ahead and use DexVI and get the benefits of a more shear-stable high-quality fluid.īut back on topic, we were talking about a PS fluid for Toyota. DexronVI would always be a better choice than a DexronIII fluid. Other than that, yes I would use ATF in a PS system unless there's a good reason not to.įor a MTF I would recommend Red Line MTL, MT85, MT90 unless you need to go lighter, then I would use Red Line D4 or D6. ATF and PS fluids have very similar requirements although the PS should not require the friction modifiers used in ATF. I wouldn't use an ATF where a MTF would be a better fit. That doesn't mean it is the case for MT, PS, etc. I would go with DexVI, MaxLife or something better like D6. You could probably use Toyota WS but it might be too light. Dexron VI exceeds all the requirements of DexIII and would be excellent to use. 11/26/2023 0 Comments 2003 mazda protege lx engine codeVisually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. MTV's 'Unplugged' is coming back to the airwaves, and we're celebrating by counting down the 15 best episodes, from Jay-Z to Nirvana. Gradually, the power and esteem of these tales lift to new heights and remain at a peak with the breathtaking, moment-making performance of "I'll Be There," a charming song first cut by the Jackson 5. Carey's supporting cast of gifted group musicians back her up with soulful melodiousness, spontaneity, and enriching percussion. The audience certainly feels the warmth and sincerity of Carey's lyrical messages of longing, loss, friendships, and love. Throughout this performance, recorded live for MTV's Unplugged, Carey is quite electric and charismatic within her vocal presence and succeeds in enlightening the already engaged audience from the get-go. Following the success of Carey's previous two albums and the growing critical commentary on her lack of concert tours and unsubstantial televised performances, Sony organized a live performance show at the Kaufman Astoria Studios, New York on March 16, 1992.
